This month of May 2025 marks 21 years since I first qualified as a therapist in Dublin in 2004 which is poignant as it is half of my lifetime so far and very much a part of me. I studied the diploma at weekends parallel to year 3 of my BSc(Hons) degree in Sport Science and Health at Dublin City University and while working x 3 nights/week as a waitress at the Bailey on Duke Street in Dublin 1 working hard and making lots of cash tips! The passion that was driving me was my recovery from a violent road traffic accident in 2002, aged 19 and the gratitude I felt for returning energy, to the medics and therapists who helped me through that journey and wanting to share healing with others. Massage Therapy a practice that has traversed country moves and changing life chapters with me and is a skill that was forced to be dormant through pandemic years when I legally cold not practice but one I made sure to keep alive. While the 'pop up' version of my massage clinic continues as a 'home clinic' for so much longer than ever intended, I truly hope to manifest a clinic and studio space of my own one day.
